Little James spent most of the afternoon in the wading pool and eating.

Mr. Green Jeans
James has had quite the green thumb this summer. We have enjoyed zucchini, summer squash, green beans, tomatoes and sweet onions! A few of the veggies are still trickling in:) We made zucchini bread and ate tons of veggies from our own garden. It made me feel so resource full and saved on the grocery bill! I have to give James all the credit! He was faithful at watering and weeding! I did as my allergies allowed! The kids did help out also:) We all reaped the benefits of our garden:) I look forward to apples, pumpkins and squash this fall! Maybe our eggplant will reach full maturity, that would be interesting! Not quite sure what I would do with an eggplant though! I think the hot weather really helped our garden this year! One day it even reached over 100 degrees, the hottest I can remember! Papa would be so proud of our garden.

First Day of School
Bridie is in 10th grade, Kaitlynn is in 12th grade (her last year, wow I can hardly believe it), and Jamesy is in 4th grade (which is the grade I teach). I am so blessed to work at the school my children attend. We are looking forward to another great school year!

Seattle Christian "Class of 1989" 20 Year Reunion!
We had a graduating class of 60 and 24 showed up for
the Saturday night dinner at the Three Chicks Catering, in
Tacoma. It was well organized and we had a terrific time.
James went along with me and visited with some of the
other spouses he has gotten to know over the years. It was truly a
blessing to see everyone and reminisce old times:) Many of
them I had gone to school with since 4th grade. It was
interesting to hear many stories and read biographies of
how the Lord has worked in many of their lives over the
years. Through the good and difficult times. Press on, class
of 1989!

Making Jam
Bridie is my little chef:) We enjoyed making
raspberry & blueberry freezer jam together! Yummy:)
I purchased the berries in the Orting valley, next year I
hope to get enough off my own plants.

Missionaries to Mexico
This week we've had my Uncle Chuck and Aunt Susie in town, visiting from Mexico where he has faithfully served for over 20 years. Uncle Chuck has started two churches and grown "Crystal Sea Ministries" over the years. In their ministry they don't have a piano player, Kaitlynn and Bridie spoiled them with a "Singing and Piano Concert" last night:) They head home sometime next week, as always we've enjoyed them very much!
